About Me:
I am a Civil Engineer working in Regina, Saskatchewan. I was born in Canada and was raised all over Africa; specifically in Malawi (1-4), Sudan (5-13), and Kenya (14-18). I moved back to Winnipeg, Manitoba to take Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba. My first 'real' job after I graduated was as a field coordinator for SNC Lavalin, an international engineering firm. I am currently working for SNC Lavalin as a Project Engineer (EIT) on a shipyard modernization project in North Vancouver. I first got into photography while at boarding school in Kenya. I took hundreds of terrible photos on my dads old film SLR every time we went on safari. This happened a few too many times and my parents finally got tired of paying to develop the film so they bought their first digital SLR. I shared this camera with my family until I received my very own Canon EOS digital rebel T1i as a graduation present from my parents. Ever since then my skills as a photographer have slowly improved. I have recently started completing weekly photography assignments with a friend and fellow photographer - Ben Jablonski - which has vastly improved my photography. |
